Going to watch the world cup?
The next World Cup will be held in South Africa, between 11 June and 11 July 2010. The World Cup is the most widely-viewed sporting event in the world, where an estimated 715.1 million people watched the final match of the 2006 World Cup held in Germany.
How about in 3D?
We have the equipment to bring the World Cup to you in 3D! This is a brand new experience, and this will be the first world cup to ever be shown in 3D.
Why not get paid to do it!
The Media Panel is a panel of paid volunteers who participate in research studies related to television, internet, and other media. The research investigates people’s media behavior.
Not only will you get to see this monumental soccer event in 3D for the first time ever, you will be paid a $40 participation incentive to do so! We ask all participants to plan to be at our facility for approximately three hours. We ask all participants to plan to be at our facility to watch the entire duration of the scheduled game (usually around three hours). We will provide light refreshments and a break during the match. Upon arrival, you will complete some paperwork and will be escorted to one of our viewing rooms or theaters. After the match is over (and your team has hopefully won!), you will complete a brief survey so that you can tell us what you thought about your 3D experience.
During your session, we may ask you to wear a heart rate and skin sensor on one hand so that we can monitor your body’s reaction to soccer in 3D. So that we get a natural reading, please refrain from caffeine at least 3 hours before your session (alcohol or optional drugs = 24 hours; if you take prescription drugs, just indicate that on your consent forms when you arrive).
